Dr. Kevin Schmidt is a local small business owner, doctor, and lifelong conservative who will bring future-facing ideas to protect our families and grow local jobs. Dr. Schmidt has been serving the Freeburg and Millstadt community as a chiropractor for the last 16 years. He is the owner and operator of Schmidt Chiropractic—he opened his first location in Millstadt in October 2006 and opened his se

cond office in Freeburg in September 2015. Dr. Schmidt likes to be very involved in the community either by volunteering his time in local organizations or by donating money to local causes. He is a past board member of the Millstadt Chamber of Commerce and a current member of the NRA. He is a mason and Shriner. Dr. Schmidt also goes into surrounding communities to businesses to give free lunches with educational lectures and performs free spinal screenings at local events.

Today I joined locals from the community and attended the Juneteenth Wellness & Unity Fair at the Comprehensive Behavioral Health Center in East St. Louis.

This special event included gift bags and giveaways, free lunch, cultural dance performances and a guest speaker: Donna Moody w/ Moody Edu-Tainment.

There was also free health screenings available offered by SIHF Healthcare-

Back-to School Physicals, Blood Pressure Screenings, and Glucose Screenings.

All non-perishable food items will be delivered to the The O'fallon Community Food Pantry to help families in need. I'm beyond thankful for the donations from residents in the 114th District and the hard work from pantry volunteer workers that continue to make a difference in the community!

After the largest-in-history $55.9 Billion FY 27 State Budget was signed into law by Governor Pritzker on June 16, State Representative Kevin Schmidt (R-Millstadt) issued the following statement:

“I am disappointed that Governor Pritzker signed a budget that will increase costs for Illinois families," said Schmidt. "This budget raises taxes another $800 million and will create more burdens for working families and businesses. I’m committed to fighting for lower taxes and finding solutions that move our state forward and give Illinois residents more opportunities to get ahead, not just get by.”

I want to thank IDOT and community leaders for working together to repair and resurface Lake Drive! We appreciate everyone who listened to our concerns and looked at pictures we provided that showed much needed work to improve the safety of commuters on this road.

I also want to thank the concerned citizens who contacted my district office about the worsening condition of the road.

When the community works together, great things happen. This is a great example of what can be achieved when community members stay engaged!
