Congratulations to Gold Cross Ambulance’s longtime Medical Director, Dr. Mark Westfall, on his retirement! Dr. Westfall also served as the Physician Medical Director for many other EMS groups throughout the Fox Valley area, including Freedom First Responders, overseeing protocols and care.

Emergency responders are there for you when you’re in need, but have you ever wondered who is there for the emergency responders? Outagamie County CERT is a local group of community members who provide support services and rehab to emergency responders on prolonged incidents. We are incredibly fortunate to have CERT and all that they provide to emergency responders throughout Outagamie County.

Last evening, ThedaStar visited our station to provide training on EMS helicopter utilization and landing zone procedures for our members, along with members from the Freedom Fire Department and Town of Center EMS.

ThedaStar has a long history of delivering excellent and expert emergency care to our community. ThedaStar provides advanced care and rapid air transport during critical emergencies when lives are on the line and every second counts.

Thank you to ThedaStar for the invaluable service you provide to our community! We are extremely fortunate to have such a great resource available when the need arises!

Freedom EMS responded to the storage unit fire in the industrial park at Freedom yesterday. We cared for one person with minor injuries & provided fire standby support for all the firefighters on scene. Two vehicle accident in the Town of Freedom

On 8/24/2025 Freedom First Responders along with Freedom Fire Dept, Outagamie County Sheriffs Office, and Gold Cross Ambulance responded to the intersection of HWY 55 and Greiner Rd for a two vehicle accident with injuries.

First Responders provided patient care to two patients while onscene. We would like to thank Outagamie County Communication Center for assisting us with communication throughout the incident.

Tonight, at the Freedom Town Board Meeting, First Responder Jodi Roskowski was honored and recognized for her 27 years of service to the Town of Freedom and its residents. Since January 1998, Jodi has been responding to 911 medical emergencies, providing a calming and compassionate presence during some of our community's most challenging moments.

On behalf of all of us, thank you for your 27 years of service and your continued dedication to our community! You are truly appreciated!
