Town of Freedom Recreation An informational page for the Town of Freedom and the surrounding communities. The first settlers arrived around 1811.

The Town of Freedom is located in the northeast corner of Cattaraugus County with a population of 2,405 as of the 2010 Census. The Town of Freedom was founded in 1820, composed of land from the "Town of Ischua". Part of Freedom become the Town of Yorkshire in 1844. The Town of Freedom is proud we are able to continue to offer a safe fun summer program FREE OF CHARGE to its' residents. This program

that begins after the 4th of July holiday and runs daily for six weeks.
- The program includes swim lessons twice a week (lunch provided on swim days)

- We coordinate a weekly field trip to area venues like Museums, Zoos and Amusement Parks (families responsible for admission fees)

- Bring speakers and presenters to the park to share exciting information about animals, careers and safety. If space permits the town opens the program to neighboring residents for a small fee. So put down the game controller pack a lunch and come play with us this summer!
