We are proud to call Judge Peterpaul our assemblywoman!
Throughout Women's History Month, we're highlighting New Jersey LGBTQ+ women leaders and changemakers from yesterday and today to inspire the women of tomorrow!
Luanne Peterpaul born in Newark, NJ, but a resident of Monmouth County for many years, is the first openly LGBTQ+ woman elected to the New Jersey Legislature.
Asw. Peterpaul was the former chair of the Garden State Equality Action Fund and she was instrumental in advocating for marriage equality in New Jersey through her role on the Board of Directors of Garden State Equality. Asw. Peterpaul is a crucial figure in the advocacy sphere for LGBTQ+ rights, anti-bullying legislation, and civil equality.
