The members of the Freehold Volunteer Fire Company would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Senator Michelle Hinchey for securing a DASNY grant that provided more than $84,000 in critical firefighting and rescue equipment for our department.
Thanks to this funding, we have acquired new thermal imaging cameras, battery-powered ventilation equipment, portable firefighting foam capabilities, rescue stabilization equipment, fire attack and water-supply hoses, nozzles, portable master stream devices, a rescue saw, and a gear-drying system. These tools will enhance firefighter safety, improve operational effectiveness, and strengthen our ability to protect the residents and visitors of our community.
As a small rural volunteer fire company, we find that investments like this have a tremendous impact. This equipment will serve our firefighters and community for many years to come, ensuring we are better prepared to respond when our neighbors need us most.
On behalf of our members and the community we proudly serve, thank you, Senator Michelle Hinchey, for your continued support of volunteer fire departments and public safety throughout our region.
