This is it. The last hoagie sale of 2026. FFD will be preparing our famous hoagies with the same great ingredients that have been used since we began making them over 40 years ago. The sale will be held on Sunday, November 1. The hoagies are available as plain, onions, sweet peppers, and the works. Orders must be placed by Tuesday, October 27, and can be placed with any firefighter or by calling the station at 570-636-3244. Deliveries are available. Please be advised, the price per hoagie is $6.

FFD responded on the assist to Foster Fire to a MVA on Foster Ave. (PA940). Units arrived to a motorcycle accident which was caused by a deer strike. The crews assisted Medic 41 with patient packaging and traffic control. White Haven PD was the investigating agency.

FFD again supported our community by assisting at the Freeland Whippets Football Homecoming Celebration at Della Croce Memorial Field in the Alvington Section of the borough. Every year our firefighters attend this event to ensure the safety of all the players, cheerleaders, coaches, family, and fans who support this grid iron program. Also during the week our firefighters performed a fire safety program for the YMCA Preschoolers, participated in our weekly training, did maintenance work on the engine, conducted the weekly meeting, and responded to an elevator incident and two EMS assists.
