Good Afternoon Little League Families,

We have now wrapped up the district all star tournaments which brings a formal end to the Freeland Little League 2026 Season. As we finish out this year and begin moving to planning for the 2027 season and year we need to hold elections for board positions. Some of our board members have completed their terms and we need to fill their roles now and invite volunteers interested in filling these roles to attend our next election meeting. The following positions are open for 2027:

Freeland Little League Open Board Positions
President - Vacant
Treasurer - Vacant
Safety Officer - Vacant
Tee Ball Director - Vacant

Elections will be held on Thursday August 13th, 2026 at 8:30 pm virtually on Zoom. Board meetings are open to the public and we encourage any interested families to attend especially if you would like to run for an open position.

It’s Championship Game Day 🔥 ⚾️

Minors All Stars take on Northeast tonight @ 6 in Sanford with the winner to advance to the state playoffs. Freeland is 3-1 heading into tonight’s game.

Juniors All Stars ended their season today with a loss to Hemlock. Congratulations on a great season to all of the boys and great little league career to those moving to high school in the fall!

It’s GAME Day 🔥 ⚾️

Minor’s are in the Championship game and take on the winner of Bullock Creek/Northeast today at 12:00 in Sanford. They are 3-0 heading into today’s game.

Junior’s play at 1:00 in Shepherd with a win sending them to the Championship game with Bullock Creek. They play the winner of Hemlock/ Clare and are 2-1 heading into their game today.

Semifinal time! ⚾️🔥

The minors boys are back in action tomorrow- Saturday July 18th in Sanford as we take on Bullock Creek at 6:00 PM. Both teams come into the matchup 2-0, with a spot in the championship game on the line.

Earlier this morning we communicated to all Freeland Little League and Firehawks coaches that all activities/scrimmages/tryouts/practices were canceled today due to the Air Quality and Freeland Schools decision. We were notified an hour ago that the Little League Central Region also made the smart decision and informed Michigan District 1 LL that all District All Star games are also canceled today.

Great times at the Freeland Little League Fields today for the Baseball Camp hosted by the Midland Baseball + Softball Training Center! Thanks for all the volunteers and the players for some great attitudes and energy.
