Who knew?! Come spend some time outdoors exploring this one-of-a-kind natural phenomenon! You will learn about the unique geology and ecology of this place, in addition to the fascinating characters that have shaped its history over the last 200+ years. We offer a self-guided (with audio options available), short hiking trails, a one-of-a-kind natural playground, a gift shop, Gemstone Village (an

imaginative outdoor labyrinth for kids), a buried spring house exhibit, and a barn that dates from the early 1800s. We also have a lovely campground which has been completely renovated.

Come soak in the last moments of August on the dunes or see who comes out winner at a game of mini golf! Join us Sunday from 1-2pm for some Sand Art on the Dunes. And yes, we are open on Monday! We’d love to see you here ⛳️🐪🌞

Starting Tuesday 9/2 we switch back to fall hours (10am-6pm Sun-Thu, 10am-8pm Fri/Sat) and train running on weekends only! 🚂

Mark your calendars! This Saturday August 16th from 9am-12pm, we’re joining forces with Spün Bakery ( ) and Black Point Coffee ( ) for a lively morning of baked goods, delicious coffee beverages, and fun at the Desert! 🥐🌞☕️🐪

Come early and fuel up with freshly made cinnamon and blueberry scones, cinnamon rolls, frittata, and plenty of other goodies, and grab yourself a freshly made coffee drink before hitting the dunes or mini golf course! We’ll have Sand Art running 10am-11:30am (included with general admission), a Desert Bingo activity, a little merch raffle (!) and $5 off our combo tickets for visitors who come between 9am-12pm on Saturday!

We can’t wait to see you there! 🐪🐪
