We are so grateful that the Sandusky County EMA Drone Response Team had the opportunity to provide mutual aid to Knox County EMA and the Knox County Sheriff Office yesterday for their missing 77 year old female with dementia who had been missing for approximately 19 hours when we got the request.
Have you heard the saying it takes a Village? Well in the EMA scope it takes multiple agencies, many times from across the state, working and collaborating together for the greater good and we were just one of the many fortunate ones that could help this time.
THANK YOU to our Drone Team Members that took time away from work to assist in this mutual aid search and rescue.
Responding Drone Team Members:
Tyler Cheek and Kreg Ohms, both also members of Townsend VFD and Jason Conklin also a member of Lindsey VFD.
Coordination efforts for this mutual aid were handled between Director Kuelling, Sandusky County and Director Dechant Knox County.
We're happy to say the individual was found alive and responsive last night.
