With the recent spate of fires in the county, please keep burning conditions in mind. If you reside in the County, be sure to follow their rules.
If you reside in the Village, it's always a good idea to be aware of the ordinances regarding burning. Take a look at section 290 (link below) which can answer most questions. For any clarification, please be sure to reach out to the Police Department or the Village Hall.

It’s hard to believe we’re posting this but Mother Nature is playing games this spring! Things are lining up to make this a very busy spring if we do not get any precipitation! There were 4+ wild fire calls in Waupaca County alone this weekend! BURNING PERMITS ARE REQUIRED AFTER JANUARY 1st WHEN THERE IS NOT FULL SNOW COVER! Go to www.wisburn.gov to get your free burning permit and make sure to check daily restrictions when you are planning to burn. When conditions allow for your burn please inform the Waupaca county sheriffs department so neighbors or vehicles passing by your fire do not call for the fire department not knowing it’s a planned fire! Stay safe everyone!

We may all be rusty with the winter driving this unusually dry winter, but remember to leave early if you’re traveling. Some of the lighter snowfalls can be the most treacherous.
Also, a reminder to clear off all your vehicle lights and make sure they’re on. It can make all the difference to avoid crashes.

Some roads may be slippery this morning.
Remember:
✅ Clear your car of ice & snow
✅ Always have an emergency kit in your car
✅ Drive slow and leave extra space between vehicles
