The children in our Yellow Room have been busy exploring the fascinating world of insects! 🐞✨ As part of their study , they created their very own glowing fireflies using recycled mini water bottles, pipe cleaners, and glow sticks.

After finishing their creations, we turned off the lights and watched the center come alive as the children flew their glowing fireflies through the air. It was a fun, hands-on way to spark imagination, creativity, and curiosity about nature! 💛🌟

A big THANK YOU to Respect for visiting our preschoolers today and putting on such a wonderful play! 💛
Our children had an amazing time meeting the puppies and learning important skills about making new friends and building positive relationships. It was such a fun and meaningful experience for everyone involved!

Join us as we celebrate the Week of the Young Child (WOYC), April 11–17, 2026!

This year is extra special. We are celebrating 100 days into NAEYC’s 100th year. That means 100 years of caring for young children and the teachers who help them learn and grow.

WOYC is a fun and joyful time. It celebrates young children, how they learn, and the adults who help them every day. We will take part in special days like Music Monday, Tasty Tuesday, and Artsy Thursday. These days show how kids learn through play, creativity, and working together.

It is also a time to remember how important early childhood education is. We celebrate our teachers and all they do to help children succeed.

This year, we will celebrate with Bluey! Bluey helps us learn to use our imagination, be kind, and have fun while we learn.

We look forward to a week full of fun, learning, and smiles!

🌟 Head Start Hero of the Week 🌟
This week we are excited to celebrate Casey as our Head Start Hero! 💛
Although she is brand new to our program, Casey has already begun building strong, meaningful connections with the children she serves. Her warm personality and natural ability to engage with little learners is truly shining through.
We are so grateful to have her as part of our team—she is the perfect addition to our teaching staff, and we can’t wait to see all the amazing things she will continue to do!
