Today, we remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country.

Memorial Day is a day to reflect on the courage, dedication, and selflessness of those who gave everything for the freedoms we enjoy every day.

From all of us at Fremont Fire Department, thank you to our fallen heroes and the families who continue to carry their legacy forward.

We will never forget.

The unofficial start to summer in Lake County is here!

As everyone heads out to enjoy the lakes, campgrounds, cookouts, and time with family and friends, we want to remind everyone to make safety a priority this weekend. Whether you’re on the water, on the road, or around the fire, take a few extra steps to keep yourself and those around you safe.

Please boat responsibly, wear your life jackets, designate a sober driver/operator, and keep an eye on changing weather conditions.

Most importantly, as we enjoy the long weekend, let’s remember the true meaning of Memorial Day and honor the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

Have a safe and enjoyable weekend, Tri-State area. We love seeing everyone out enjoying the water — let’s make it a safe one.

Fremont Fire Department would like to thank the Fremont Moose Lodge 2387 for their generous donation of Tommy Moose stuffed animals.

These stuffed animals will be carried on our apparatus and used during emergency calls to help comfort children during stressful or serious situations. Whether it’s a medical call, vehicle accident, fire, or any other type of incident, something as simple as a stuffed animal can make a big difference for a child during a difficult moment.

We appreciate the Fremont Moose for their continued support of our department and our community. Donations like this help us provide not only emergency care, but also comfort and reassurance to the families we serve.
