Yesterday, members of Fremont Fire Rescue Department responded to the Town of Chester as part of a mutual aid assignment for a 1st alarm structure fire which was upgraded to a 2nd alarm.

Fremont C1 (Chief Butler) and Engine 2 responded with a crew of 5 - Operator/ Driver R. DeClerq, Deputy Chief (C4) V. O'Connor, LT. J. Butler, LT. M. Rizzotti, and FF. J. Hensley - who assisted Chester Fire and the numerous mutual aid departments operating on scene.

Mutual aid plays a critical role in ensuring communities have the resources needed during significant incidents. We are proud to support our neighboring departments when called upon and remain committed to providing them assistance.

Yesterday evening was this month’s Fire training which focused on hose advancements and water supply operations. Members practiced advancing charged hoselines and moving water from one apparatus to another, essential skills that help ensure an effective and reliable fireground operation.

Yesterday, Firefighter Nathan Epstein (Fremont) and Lieutenant Jason Fellows (Kingston) joined brothers and sisters from across the country in Boston to honor the life and service of Rescue Company 2 Firefighter Bobby “BK” Kilduff Jr.

Firefighter Kilduff made the supreme sacrifice on May 23, 2026, while operating at Box 3-1826. Their presence, along with thousands of fellow firefighters, paid tribute to his dedication, courage, and unwavering commitment to serving others.

May we never forget his sacrifice and the sacrifices made by all who answer the call. Rest easy, we have the watch.

Yesterday, some members of the Fremont NH Fire Rescue Department attended Fremont's Annual Memorial Day activities to honor and remember the brave men and women of the United States Armed Forces who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

Memorial Day is more than the start of summer, it's a day of reflection, gratitude, and remembrance for those who gave their lives protecting the freedoms we enjoy every day.

LODD: Robert Kilduff Jr., a 24-year veteran of the Boston Fire Department, responded to a three-alarm fire Saturday night on Treadway Road. Crews had knocked down the heavy fire in the triple-decker when a mayday call went out when Kilduff fell from the third floor of the home.

In addition to being a firefighter on Rescue 2, he also spent years serving his country in the U.S. Marines.

Our thoughts are with his children, extended family, and all of his brothers and sisters in the BFD.

Yesterday,Fremont NH Fire Rescue Departmentt responded to a pickup truck fire on Whittier Drive near Sandown Road. Upon arrival, crews found that the fire had extended into the adjacent grass area. Engine 1’s crew acted quickly to contain the spread of the fire while extinguishing both the vehicle and the surrounding grass fire. No injuries were reported.
