The Tri-City Animal Shelter is participating in the annual nationwide Clear the Shelters event from August 1 – August 31, 2026 — a month-long campaign dedicated to finding loving homes for shelter animals in our community.

To help empty our kennels, we're offering waived adoption and microchip fees ALL MONTH LONG!

📍Adoption hours: Wednesday - Saturday from 10:00 am - 3:30 pm.

16 Cats and Kittens Found Their Forever Homes! 🐾❤️

What an incredible day at our Kitten Adoption Event last weekend! Thanks to the support of our amazing community, 16 cats and kittens found loving forever homes.
Every adoption represents a new beginning—not only for the animals going home with their new families, but also for the next pets waiting for their chance at the shelter.

This success would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of our incredible Animal Services team, our volunteers, foster families, and everyone who helped make the event a success. From preparing the kittens for adoption to welcoming visitors, answering questions, and helping families find the perfect match, your compassion and commitment made all the difference.

To everyone who adopted, donated their time, or simply helped spread the word— thank you. Together, we're giving more animals the opportunity to find the loving homes they deserve.

Here's to 16 happy endings and many more to come! 🐱🏡

From playful puppies, like the ones our team is snuggling here, to ear-wiggling bottle babies and calm seniors, our shelter is always seeking foster homes for animals in our care.

Fostering gives pets time to grow, provides a safe and quiet space for stressed animals, and opens up kennel space for others.

✨ You supply the home and cuddles, and we’ll supply the food, supplies, and medical support.

The Tri-City Animal Shelter was proud to participate in the Annual Niles Dog Show, a longtime Fremont tradition that celebrates dogs while bringing together pet owners, rescue organizations, local businesses, and animal lovers from across the Bay Area. The event featured rescue organizations, canine demonstrations, family-friendly competitions, vendors, and educational booths, all centered around promoting responsible pet ownership and supporting animal welfare.

Our volunteer team spent the day welcoming visitors to the Tri-City Animal Shelter booth, answering questions about adoption, fostering, volunteering, licensing, and the many services the shelter provides. They enjoyed meeting members of the community, sharing stories about the animals in our care, and helping families learn how they can make a difference—whether by opening their home to a pet, volunteering their time, or simply spreading the word about our mission. Thank you to all that stopped by!
