We consider ourselves a service and a social organization. We raise money solely through our annual Ghost House. Open each October and based in a historical 19th century Carriage House, the Ghost House is a w

👻🏚️ GHOST HOUSE UPDATE! 🏚️👻

Our first Candle Lighters Ghost House Work Party has been POSTPONED while our beloved Ghost House gets a little TLC… the roof is being fixed! 🔨🏠

📅 NEW DATE: Saturday, September 12th
⏰ 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
🍕 Lunch will be provided!

Apparently, opening up the roof of a haunted house comes with a few unexpected problems… 😳👀

We would like to apologize in advance for any ghosts, ghouls, goblins, fairies, spirits or other mysterious creatures that may have accidentally leaked out while the roof was opened. 👻🧚‍♀️🧌✨

If you happen to see something strange wandering around Fremont… OOPS! Our bad! 😂👻

Hopefully we can round everyone back up before the Ghost House opens! 🏚️🎃

Until then, mark your calendars for September 12th — we need LOTS of helping hands to get the Ghost House ready for another spooktacular season!

This past Friday, the Candle Lighters got together for a fantastic Bingo Night at Billy Roy’s! 🎉

There were lots of laughs, plenty of winners, and one of our Past Presidents hit the jackpot with a WHOPPING $205 WIN! 💰👏👏👏

Please join us in wishing a very Happy Birthday to our wonderful Caroline Siebert, last year’s President of the Candle Lighters Ghost House! ❤️

Caroline has been part of the Candle Lighters family for many years and is one of those amazing people who is always ready to jump in wherever she’s needed. Whether it’s helping behind the scenes, lending a hand to another member, or making sure everything runs smoothly, Caroline is always there. 🥰

You’ll often find her in Costumes, helping our young volunteers get dressed up and ready to become part of the Ghost House magic — although Caroline certainly isn’t shy about getting into costume herself! 👻🎭😂

Today we continued a very special Candle Lighters tradition! ❤️

As our new President begins their term, it is tradition to gather with our Past Presidents for a special luncheon. It’s a wonderful opportunity to hear their stories, gather valuable information, share ideas, and find inspiration from the many years of experience around the table. 🥰

Our Past Presidents have each played an important part in shaping Candle Lighters and helping us continue our mission in the community. 👻🏚️❤️

Today we’re sending a HUGE Candle Lighters birthday shout-out to the wonderful Steven Strong! 🥳🎈👻

Steven and his wife, Sandy, have been part of the Candle Lighters family for many years, giving their time, energy, and helping hands to make the Ghost House happen year after year. ❤️🕯️

You’ll often find Steven helping alongside Sandy in the food booth 🍿🌭, but his hard work starts long before the doors even open! Steven also rolls up his sleeves and helps with the Ghost House build-up 🔨👻🏚️ — helping bring our spooky home to life!
