Last night, thirteen of our members were able to attend the Right to Life of Southwest Indiana 2026 Banquet and hear about the importance of the Right to Life movement and continuing challenges ahead in a post-Roe world. We also got to hear from multiple guest speakers including Governor Braun, Attorney General Rokita, Representative Messmer, Senator Young, and former White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany.

We are honored to have been given the opportunity to attend this important event and want to thank Senator Todd Young and several generous attendees at the event for inviting us to join them at their tables. Being able to attend events as important as these is instrumental in engaging, involving and growing the next generation of conservative leadership in our country and we sincerely appreciate those who helped make that possible!

Earlier this summer, I had the opportunity to speak with the Young Republicans of Vanderburgh County about the role of county government and my responsibilities as a member of the Vanderburgh County Council.

I always appreciate the chance to engage with young leaders, answer questions, and encourage greater involvement in local government. Thank you for the invitation!

Earlier this week, our Chair, Trent Thompson, and Vice Chair, Hannah Brune, had the honor to attend the Ceremonial Signing of House Enrolled Act 1250 in remembrance of Susan Haynie and heard from several local and statewide representatives on the impact this bill will have on the safety of Hoosiers across our great state.

Senseless acts of violence, such as the one that claimed Susan Haynie's life, are preventable tragedies that we as peaceful, law-abiding American citizens should not have to concern ourselves with. While more can and hopefully will be done to combat this kind of terrorism committed upon the peaceful public, House Enrolled Act 1250 is a positive step in the right direction.

Thank you to Indiana District 78 House Representative, Tim O'Brien, for authoring this bill and extending the invitation to us as representatives of the next generation of Republican leadership to attend.
