Earlier this week, our Chair, Trent Thompson, and Vice Chair, Hannah Brune, had the honor to attend the Ceremonial Signing of House Enrolled Act 1250 in remembrance of Susan Haynie and heard from several local and statewide representatives on the impact this bill will have on the safety of Hoosiers across our great state.

Senseless acts of violence, such as the one that claimed Susan Haynie's life, are preventable tragedies that we as peaceful, law-abiding American citizens should not have to concern ourselves with. While more can and hopefully will be done to combat this kind of terrorism committed upon the peaceful public, House Enrolled Act 1250 is a positive step in the right direction.

Thank you to Indiana District 78 House Representative, Tim O'Brien, for authoring this bill and extending the invitation to us as representatives of the next generation of Republican leadership to attend.

Yesterday a few of our members had the opportunity to attend a Platform Committee Hearing for the Indiana Republican Party and share thoughts on what we’d like to see the state party focus on.

Events like these are so important and having young voices be involved in developing the trajectory of our Party is pivotal to our future success.

The First Annual Kirk Day Dinner, hosted by the Warrick County Republican Party, was a massive success with speakers including some of our local Young Republican leaders and State Representatives like Andrew Ireland, Tim O’Brien and Lt Governor Micah Beckwith.
