This was an effort to clarify and put on record each county responsibilities. Hello friends and neighbors,
As we enter the holiday season, the Alcala family would like to wish everyone a very memorable, peaceful and safe time with your loved ones. Please travel responsibly and take a moment to look out for one another. This is a busy season on the roads, and everyone deserves to make it home safely.

I also want to share a brief and humble piece of my background for those who may not know my journey in public service. In 2003, I graduated from DOCJT, at Eastern Kentucky University, where I was honored to be chosen by my peers as Class 383 President. I began my law enforcement career with the Mt. Sterling Police Department before attending the Kentucky State Police Academy in 2005, where I again had the privilege of serving as Class Leader for Cadet Class 84.

I spent five years serving Montgomery, Bath, and Menifee Counties with KSP Post 8 Morehead and was recognized as Post 8 Trooper of the Year in 2010. I later worked as a narcotics detective with DESI East, earning Kentucky Narcotics Officer of the Year in 2012. My career led me to partner with the FBI Safe Streets Task Force, where I served in undercover roles and multi states investigations, and from 2019 to 2024 I was assigned to protective security roles for some of Kentucky highest level officials.

Throughout those years, I gained a deep understanding of the challenges, and responsibilities faced by first responders - both on the front lines and in leadership roles. That perspective continues to guide me today. Sheriff Smallwood and I have maintained a strong administrative relationship and we are currently working on solutions that we hope to share soon, always with the best interests of Menifee County at heart.

As we enjoy this holiday season, please know that my commitment remains focused on safety, service, and the well being of our community. We truly appreciate your continued support.

This week I had the honor of representing Menifee County at the 51st KACo Conference in Louisville.
Throughout the conference, we met with several state officials as we continued to advocating to strengthen what we already have and secure support for the things our community still needs.

The breakout sessions were extremely informative, covering issues that directly impact our district and providing valuable insight we can bring back home.

I also had the opportunity to speak with Congressman James Comer regarding President Trump’s Make America Healthy Again initiative, requesting support for future projects that would benefit Menifee County.

Our work extends far beyond county lines - but it is always done with one goal in mind: promoting, protecting, and advocating for our community.

I am proud to Serve Menifee County; today and every day.

Happy Veterans Day,
Today, I want to take a moment to thank all our veterans. When we first make the decision to serve our country and join the United States Armed Forces, it is about answering the call to serve something greater than ourselves.

But after thousands of hours of PT, KP, inspections, drills, and training- it becomes about the soldiers standing beside you in formation. The bond a soldier forms with his or her comrades is unlike any other - it lasts a lifetime.

This year, I had the honor of attending our 3rd reunion for the 1/41st Infantry Battalion, who served together in Operation Desert Storm. While it was a blessing to reconnect, we were painfully reminded that three of our brothers were missing - lost to su***de. This is a real issue that continues to impact veterans and families across our nation.

If you know a soldier or veteran who is struggling, please reach out. Listen. Offer a hand. Or connect them to someone who can help. Sometimes, that one act of compassion can save a life.

May God bless our veterans.
May God bless the United States of America.
And may God bless Menifee County.
