Frenchtown Borough Hall will be open today Thursday, June 11 from 9am through 3pm for residents to use as a cooling center. From the US National Weather Center Philadelphia/Mt Holly: The hottest heat indices so far this year are expected today, topping at near 100* degrees this afternoon in most areas. A Heat Advisory remains in effect through Friday. Scattered storms are expected later this afternoon.

State Police Seeking Public's Assistance with Serious Crash Investigation

The New Jersey State Police is seeking the public’s assistance with a serious motor vehicle crash investigation that occurred on I‑78 in Bethlehem Township, Hunterdon County, on May 12, 2026.

Based on a preliminary investigation, at approximately 12:55 a.m., a yellow Ford SUV, a gray Toyota passenger vehicle, and a blue Honda sedan were traveling west on I‑78. In the area of milepost 11, the Toyota struck the rear of the Ford, causing the Ford to veer off the roadway and collide with the guardrail. The Toyota became disabled in the roadway, where it was subsequently struck in the rear by the Honda.

As a result of the crash, the driver and passenger of the Toyota sustained serious injuries and were transported to an area hospital. The driver and passenger of the Honda sustained moderate injuries. No other injuries were reported

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or the events prior to or following the crash is asked to contact Troop "B" Perryville Station at 908-730-7042.
