Habitat Greater Fresno Area helps families realize strength & stability through affordable shelter.

Habitat for Humanity Greater Fresno Area seeks to end poverty housing in Fresno and Madera counties by uniting individuals, families, and communities to build decent, affordable housing. We work in partnership with God and people everywhere, from all walks of life, to develop communities. We do this by building and renovating houses so there are decent homes in decent communities where people can

live and grow. Habitat is based on the conviction that Christian discipleship must be lived out in practical ways which help to lift burdens from the shoulders of others.

Speak up today for a more stable California. CalHome expands access to affordable homeownership for working families, strengthening neighborhoods and building long-term economic security. Without funding, projects across the state will stall. Tell the governor and legislature to include $500 million for CalHome in the state budget.

Our 7-home development in Firebaugh is officially vertical! Staff, future homeowners, sponsors, and volunteers are busy every Saturday. Since this is our first time building two-story houses, we added some hired help for the stairs and upper floors. Seeing these Habitat homes take shape is such an exciting experience!

Last week, our team traveled to Sacramento for Habitat California's 15th annual Advocacy Day. This important trip is where staff, volunteers, and homeowners meet with elected representatives to discuss housing challenges. And, for the first time, two Greater Fresno Area homeowners joined our affiliate to share their experiences. Thank you to Gilbert and Chanel Criado from our Princeton home for advocating with us!

California leaders have said it themselves—investments in housing work. That’s why it’s so disappointing to see CalHome, the state’s only affordable homeownership program, left out of the state’s proposed budget for the upcoming year.

We urge Governor Gavin Newsom to restore $500M for and keep California moving toward housing affordability!

We've nearly finished grading our Firebaugh home lots for Phase I! The seven new Habitat homes will match the existing structures built by another organization, including exterior design and interior layout. All seven families have been selected to fill these houses and they're already hard at work. We can't wait to finally give the San Joaquin Villas the completion it deserves!

Thank you to the amazing Bank of America volunteers who braved the cold on Saturday! They helped us build the framing for an upcoming home in Firebaugh. Once the site is ready to go vertical, we'll cart these prepared frames onto the slab and get them installed. Bank of America has been our partner for years, and we're always grateful for their support!

Thank you to Wells Fargo for joining us at the ReStore! sent five employees to volunteer with our team and build furniture. Their generous $15,000 grant will fund our San Joaquin Villas development in Firebaugh. 🏠💚

to Juan Lara & Jaqueline Diaz, Jose Gomez & Maria Rivas, and Jerry Enriquez, along with their children! These final three families have been selected to build their Habitat homes in the San Joaquin Villas development. The first phase of this Firebaugh project will bring seven 2-story homes to an existing site!
