Trans-E-Motion is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization in Fresno, CA whose goals are to provide support and education to both transgender persons, their family and friends. Support Groups are held via zoom:
Transgender and Non-Binary Youth Support Group Third Monday of the month at 6pm. Confidentiality is strictly enforced and members may remain anonymous during group. Trans-E-Motion hosts annual e

vents for Transgender Day of Remembrance in the fall, and Transgender Day of Visibility in the spring. The organization also provides educational presentations and orientations for professional organizations and school districts.

Grace Miller (she/her) is a q***r graduate student in speech-language pathology specializing in gender-affirming voice services.

This report and the survey that informed it, were created by Arien Reed (he/they) and edited by Dr. Kat Fobear, and are released with the permission of the California Department of Public Health TGI Unit.

Highlighting the demographic makeup and the aggregate experiences of the Central Valley’s TGI community, this report demonstrates the importance of TGI health and justice grant funding for rural, isolated, and conservative areas. This report also demonstrates the need for economic resources and medical and mental health capacity building. Finally, this report also demonstrates the interpersonal and socioeconomic prevalence of transphobia, and the need to improve physical safety and safeguard the wellbeing of gender-diverse people, even within a state with strong civil rights protections.

Please read, share, and use this survey report to liberate trans people everywhere.
