Enter our APA Movie Night Giveaway to receive a movie bucket filled with the essentials - popcorn, candy, snacks, buttons and stickers, plus a pamphlet with our API movie recommendations.

Each prize will include:

We are proud to welcome David M. Villarino, former Executive Director of Farmworkers Institute of Education & Leadership Development (FIELD), as our keynote speaker. David began his journey alongside the United Farm Workers in 1972, dedicating decades to representing, training, and advocating for farmworkers, immigrants, and working families. He now serves as the sole proprietor of David Villarino and Associates, a strategic planning, organizing, and program development company that consults with community-based organizations.

As a proud alumnus of Fresno State, David’s leadership also extended nationwide, directing presidential primary campaigns under Michael Dukakis. His work has been deeply rooted in family legacy and social justice — inspired by his in-laws, César and Helen Chávez, and his grandfather, Juan De Dios Escobedo Gonzalez, who organized the nation’s first successful school desegregation case, Alvarez v. Lemon Grove School District.

Come learn, reflect, and celebrate a legacy that continues to shape our communities today.

In collaboration with the Horticulture Club, this hands-on hangout is all about slowing down, getting creative, and spending some time in community.

You’ll decorate your own pot, plant a succulent, and head home with something living to care for — no art skills or plant knowledge needed. This is a low-pressure space to drop in, relax, and enjoy the process 💚
