431 Solidarity Slate

Justin Scott, James Nelson and James Lewis were at UPS yesterday handing out Gatorade to the hard-working employees at the Fresno building. Are all three of them UPS Business Agents? Did any other barns get visited or get recognized for their hard work? UPS is not the only barn Local 431 represents yet they are the only barn that gets daily visits and representation. Is this the change the disability slate related to you during their campaign?

Had someone send me this and asked if I was going. Had to tell them no, it’s not posted at our barn so I guess were not invited. Justin Scott came down yesterday for the first time in 8 months to post something. Of course he came when no members were here. James Nelson was here today for the first time in months, no members were present when he was here either. Neither of them put up a flyer so as I said, I guess were not invited.

I guess we do send losers to Vegas after all. Justin and Gilbert enjoying their free vacation even though they lost the Delegate election. The membership clearly stated their opinion that these two should not come but they ignored them and came anyway. Make your voice heard, demand better! They need to listen to the members and deliver what they promised.

At last night’s General Membership meeting Justin Scott announced that the disability slate had made the decision to send himself and Gilbert Prieto to the IBT convention. Despite the fact that the Local has lost money every month since this administration has taken over. There were many members apposed to the Local having to pay for them to attend, there was also a motion and second on the floor to vote the decision but it was ignored by Justin. Take a good look at the attached picture, it was posted by the disability slate. It clearly states “ we don’t send losers”. Well guess what? They lost the delegates election which makes them LOSERS! Is this responsible use of the members money? If you don’t think it is, call the local and let them know your opinion.
