Mark your calendars! DHHSC Fresno is hosting Deaf Awareness Day on September 17, 2026, and we've got a jam-packed day planned. In this video, we're explaining everything happening, from Deaf History and Bingo, to watching Deaf President Now, a Jeopardy-style game, and wrapping up the day with an Ice Cream Social.

Save the date! DHHSC Fresno presents Deaf Awareness Day on Thursday, September 17, 2026, from 10 AM to 8 PM at the Fresno HQ office, 5340 N Fresno St, Fresno, CA.

Schedule of events:
10:00 AM – 10:30 AM: Welcome and Introductions
10:30 AM – 12:00 PM: Deaf History and Bingo
1:00 PM – 3:00 PM: Deaf President Now Film
3:30 PM – 5:30 PM: Jeopardy Activity Game
6:00 PM – 8:00 PM: Ice Cream Social

Reminder! Parents Connect is coming up on Saturday, September 12th, from 3 PM to 5 PM at Round Table Pizza, 5702 N First St, Fresno, CA 93710 (pizza provided!).

Join other families with Deaf and Hard of Hearing children for sharing questions and concerns, interactive discussions, and fun opportunities for kids to interact. We hope to see you there!

Join DHHSC - Central Coast Outreach for Deaf Social Night on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at "Dubber's Oldtown Bar & Grill", 172 Main Street, Salinas, CA 93901.

All ages are welcome! Bring money for food and drinks. Alcohol and beer are also available for ages 21+ (please bring your ID) at your own responsibility. Come socialize with the Deaf community and enjoy amazing food and drinks at Dubber's!
