What a wonderful summer we are having!

Time for some updates!!

We have doubled our fundraising events! With another right around the concer!!

Come visit us at Southern Tier brewing Company on Friday August 7th! Thats all you have to do! Come have a drink and a portion of the proceeds for the night will be donated back to TSE! There will be LIVE MUSIC. We will also have some raffle baskets, a 50/50, and tons of info about local wildlife!

We are on track for one of our busiest years with animal intakes!

We have already released our overwinted opossums, 4 squirrels, 1 painted turtle, and our Garter snake friend is on his way out this week!

Still in care we have our 3 legged crew: Mr. Toad and our male painted turtle friend! We have even started creating a small pond area on the property for these two to be safety released on!

We cant forget about our 9 baby opossums that are thriving!

So many amazing organizations, talks, and walks! If you come today there are even some live animals visiting from our friends at WILD Creatures!

We will be here Friday and Saturday 12-5!

It's a full house around here!

We are currently not excepting any new patients until we get a few of our friends released!

Currently in house we have:

🐍 Garter snake- who seems to be feeling more and more in his back end every day!

🐢 Female painted who is still a bit floaty but doing better since being moved outside!

🐿 2 Grey squirrels that both came in orphaned and banged up. Both are doing great one is on its way to pre release this week!

🐿2 red squirrels. One of which is in the pre release right now! However he likes his home and refuses to leave yet. The second red squirrel has just been weaned and waiting his turn for pre release as well!

🦡 10 opossums! Thats right we have 10 baby opossums all around 50ish grams. The 3 that came in about a month back are starting into their p**f ball stage, eating on thier own and doing well! The newest 7 are also starting to eat on their own, with hand feedings a couple times a day to insure they get all the need!

Patient update on this Memorial Day!

🐍 is doing well, even just shed his skin with no problems

🐢 still having trouble fully submerging herself but other wise seems on the mend

🐿 Grey squirrel is doing very well, once the weather gets a little better she will be moved into the prerelease in the woods!

🐿 Red squirrel is doing fantastic and will be moved out to the animal shed to start being acclimated to the outside world!

Newest patients are:

🐾 3 40g baby opossums, these 3 came in yesterday at 11:45pm after their mother was struck by a car in Kennedy NY. Lucky for them a wonderful person saw them and acted quickly in getting them to us!

Patient update🐿🐢🐍

🐍 Little Garter snake is doing well! Even tho he came in not being able to move the lower part of his body and tail he is making improvements! The little one is eating, pooing and and moving the lower body in a much more normal way!

🐢 The female painted turtle seems to be on the mend as well. She spends alot of time basking trying to make her tummy feel better!

🐿Remember the little grey squirrel that came in aspirated from being hosed out of a large truck? Well she is thriving! This little one is almost ready for the outside caging!

🆕️🐿 Our newest patient came to us on Monday! This little red squirrel ran up to some humans asking for help! Good thing he did! This little one is extremely dehydrated and emaciated. Luckily he is taking to care well and seems to be on the right track to feeling better!

We need your help now more then ever!

TSE is raising money for 2 projects at the moment!

We need $800 for our 501-C- 3 filling. This will allow for many more fundraising opportunities, tax extentions for our donors, and give us the ability to apply for grants

We are also looking to raise $10,000 for a small facility to be built on the property. This would allow forn us to take on more volunteers and in return help 100s more wildlife in need in our community!

Without these upgrades to TSE we wont be able to continue to help as many animals as we do.

We know times are tight right now and we appreciate every penny and ever single share we receive!

Patient update!

Currently we are continuing to help a little Garter snake through a spinal injury! The little one is gaining motion and control of his tail back slowly.

We also have this beautiful female painted turtle who was found floating in a pond having a hard time submerging. She was found to have some intestinal swelling and gas build up.

Our newest patient is a young squirrel who was found in a large commercial truck while being washed. He unfortunately was sprayed with the hose and had some blood coming from his nose. After some medication, heat, and time he is doing better!

Our 3rd annual Wildlife Baby Shower is this Saturday!

You heard that right! This Saturday from 1-4pm the Audubon Community Nature will be filled with native wild animal games, demos, snacks, raffles, 50/50, and sooo much more!

Dont forget if you bring ANY donation item you will be entered into a chance to win a raffle basket!

This event allows for us to raise the much needed funds and materials necessary to care for the large number of babies ( and others) that end up with us during the next few months!
