Update on Flood Damages

The Mayor and Council have been busy getting estimates and have made the decision this evening to proceed with the repairs.

The contractor will be the Henthorn Excavation. The projected time of starting is Monday, August 31 on Hill Street repairs to the North end in front of the apartments. They will then work South.

A new 72" Culvert by 40' long in one piece is being ordered. This will be 12 gauge steel to withstand not just daily traffic, weekly trash pickup, but for emergency vehicles if ever needed to cross it. Lead time is 10 to 14 days on this Culvert.

Tyler County PSD will be installing casing over the sewer vacuum line to help bring long term stability to our residents for any future events caused by mother nature.

The contractor will be removing all debris from properties as well.

We want to thank the Tyler County Commission for the Municipal Grant for Friendly and all the Municipalities in Tyler County. This is where having this additional funding for Municipalities for projects is so helpful to us. This is how these repairs will be made to our residents through this funding.

We want to thank you for your patience as we feel we have done due diligence in what's best for our residents.
