Not that we have a lot of spots for ice activities in town, but with the fluctuations in temperature and recent measuring of ice on the fire pond (2-3”) we encourage you be extra careful out there.

Please be cautious in the area of Bradford Point Road and School Street, there are trees and powerlines down, currently the tree is smoldering, but we are unable to suppress it until CMP arrives to secure the power.

With the expectation of high winds for tomorrow, Let’s hit on a couple safety tips.

-No line is safe to touch…..EVER, even if it’s a cable or phone line, it has the potential to be charged by a crossed power line. please stay clear and do not drive over downed lines.

-Keep those generators outside and as far away from your home as possible, keep wind direction in mind as well, wind can blow the exhaust into your home causing elevation of CO levels within.

-Smoke and CO detectors, make sure they have charged batteries and are in working order. CO is a silent killer, anything that combust or burns if not properly used or ventilated will cause elevation in levels.

-Have a flashlight and charge your phones.

Stay safe friends and call 911 in the event of any emergency.
