🍎With school starting this week for Clear Creek ISD, the Friendswood Police Department wanted to remind drivers what to do when buses are stopped for students.🛑

🚌Texas State law requires that drivers stop when a school bus is operating a visual signal-either red flashing lights or extended stop arm (TRC 545.066). Here are a few guidelines on what to do when a bus is stopped.

We hope everyone has a safe and successful school year!

On August 7, 2026, at approximately 6:16 PM, the Friendswood Police Department took Lewis Stott, 32, of Seabrook, into custody on a Harris County warrant charging him with Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Young Child.

The warrant stems from an investigation conducted by the Friendswood Police Department involving allegations of sexual abuse that reportedly occurred while Stott was employed at The Galloway School, located at 3200 W. Bay Area Blvd. in Friendswood, between 2020 and 2026. During his employment, Stott served in several roles, including physical education teacher, substitute teacher, second-grade teacher, and soccer club coach.

The Friendswood Police Department is conducting a thorough and ongoing investigation into the allegations. Due to Stott's former position as an educator and his access to children during his employment, investigators believe there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward. Parents and guardians whose children may have had contact with Stott are encouraged to speak with their children and to contact the Friendswood Police Department if their child discloses information or if they have information that may assist investigators. Anyone who wishes to report an incident or provide information related to this investigation is urged to contact the Friendswood Police Department at 281-996-3300.

The Friendswood Police Department recognizes the sensitive nature of these allegations and is committed to protecting the safety, privacy, and well being of children and families. Anyone with information is encouraged to come forward.

Following his arrest, Stott was transported to the Harris County Jail, where he is currently being processed. He is being held with no bond at this time.

Due to this being an ongoing investigation, no further information will be released at this time that could compromise the investigation or the privacy of potential victims.
