This week's tremendous team member and GOTW is:
🔵 Emily 🔵

Emily is a second-year lifeguard at the City of Friendswood, who established herself and learned the ropes through the City's Junior Lifeguard program! She's definitely shown that she takes pride in every aspect of her work - but above all, Emily loves learning and practicing the in's and out's of emergency rescues and first aid care 😎
(honorable mention to her stellar work as a swim instructor too!🏊)

Not only does Emily LOVE her job, but she's also shown that she has what it takes to be a true Aquatic PROfessionals!

We wanted to take some time to recognize another one of our next-level Lifeguards!

This week's GOTW is Alesy🤩

Alesy is a first year, rookie lifeguard with the City of Friendswood. She shines bright in all that she does - whether teaching swim lessons 🏊‍♀️ practicing emergency procedures 🛟or enjoying the company of her teammates!

She's always ready to jump in when needed and is always helping out with a smile on her face and a happy-go-lucky attitude😁. She's also built a reputation as a "Shift Shark", picking up and covering her teammates' shifts when needed most! 🦈

Alesy's positive attitude and team spirit make her a true standout 💪

Although she may be a rookie, she has shown that she has what it takes to be a true Aquatics PROfessional 😎

As a returning lifeguard with the City of Friendswood, Karsyn has proven to be a team member that leads by example. Whether it's facing whatever the day has in store with a smile or keeping her emergency care skills and knowledge in tip-top shape, she does it all at a high level! She's even recently brought her awesomeness to our Aquatic Acorn Academy through teaching swim lessons 🏊🏊

Two weeks have gone by, meaning we've got two more Rockstar Rescuers to shoutout! 🚨🚨

We'd like to recognize Dempsey and Rylan as our most recent Guards of the Week!🤩

Both of these gentlemen are first-year lifeguards this summer who have jumped right into the deep end 😉 They've both demonstrated high quality rescue skills, made a positive impact through teaching swim lessons, and most importantly - showcased what it means to be terrific teammates!🙌

Despite being rookies to the job, these fellas have shown that they have what it takes to be true Aquatics PROfessionals🏊

Come make waves for water safety at the Friendswood City Pool on Thursday, June 25th any time from 12pm - 9pm during the World’s Largest Swimming Lesson — a global event dedicated to teaching lifesaving swim skills and building confidence in and around the water.

Olivia's experience goes back several years with her starting as Junior Lifeguard with the City of Friendswood. Now, in her second year as a staff member, she has proven to be well prepared for anything and everything that job has to offer!

As a competitive swimmer, Olivia thrives at teaching swim lessons and getting kiddos to be strong, competent, and safe swimmers🏊

Saturday, May 23 & Sunday, May 24: 1 PM – 7 PM
Monday, May 26 (Memorial Day): 🕛 12 PM – 9:30 PM
