On September 1st, dove hunting season opens in North Texas. Frisco PD would like to remind residents that there are areas around the city where hunting is allowed (with the landowner's permission).

The Frisco Police Department is currently on scene of a welfare concern in the 6000 Block of Wallis Dr. The area is blocked off, and Memorial High School was placed into a secure status out of an abundance of caution. There is no active threat to the community, and the situation is contained. Please avoid the area at this time.

This past weekend, the Frisco Police Department partnered with Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) to participate in Saturation Saturday, a statewide initiative focused on reducing impaired driving.

The results demonstrate meaningful progress in community safety. In 2025, the department recorded six DWI arrests and reported zero Uber voucher usage during the event. This year, only one DWI arrest occurred, accompanied by the successful utilization of 105 Uber vouchers.

The Frisco Police Department thanks community members for making responsible transportation decisions and contributing to safer roadways. We also extend our appreciation to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) for providing the Uber vouchers that supported these efforts.

🚔 More Officers. Zero Tolerance. Safer Roads.

On Saturday, August 29, the Frisco Police Department will join law enforcement agencies across the nation for "Saturation Saturday", a high-visibility enforcement effort focused on removing impaired drivers from our roads.

By increasing patrols and enforcing impaired driving laws, officers are working to prevent crashes, save lives, and keep the Frisco community safe.

Before you head out, make a plan. If you're drinking or using impairing substances, choose a sober driver or use a rideshare.

Together, we can make Texas's roads safer for everyone.
