If you are wondering what your support and donations to The Rotary Club of Frisco do to help the local community, here's is short example. This is a note we received this week from Embrace, a local nonprofit looking out for the welfare and serving local foster children:
Hi! This is just a quick note to thank you and Frisco Rotary Club for your generosity in 2021! This past year, the Embrace Team and our amazing volunteers have served 521 foster and adoptive children at events, delivered 241 home cooked meals to children staying in hotels, and helped 108 families take steps toward fostering or adopting. Just a few months from now we will open the doors of our new space to nurture and care for children entering foster care while they wait to be placed with a foster family. All of these incredible services are made possible by the touch of God, through donors like you!
Busy day for Rotarians in Action! We wrapped up our Holiday Supply Drive of socks, blankets and other essentials to some of our local charities. A terrific club meeting with an amazing Sicilian-style luncheon by Earnest B's! Special thanks to our guest speaker Adam Hochfelder for a fun and informative look into TX High School Football. We also honored members David Batey and Tony Felker with the Paul Harris Awards! The day wasn't complete until we finished up with great participation at our Blood Drive! Thanks to all our Rotarians who came out to support and participate!
Rotarians are people of action! This is just one example of what your donations to the Rotary Foundation do for people in need!
After decades of crafting squash-blossom necklaces, pendants, and bracelets, Jerry Domingo knew he would have to quit making jewelry, because he couldn’t see very well anymore.
Growing up the next generation of Rotarians! Thanks Joshua Meek !
