While this squadron is shut down we like to post historical updates as we can. Last night a former Frisco Cadet was promoted to C/ Col having earned his Spaatz award. C/Col Jackson Reed has worked hard during his cadet career and we congratulate him on his great achievement. Former Squadron Commander Phyllis Sutton was present last night and provided us with some photos of the ceremony.

For those just joining this page and those who have recently come to check it out the Frisco Cadet Squadron was shut down in November of 2014 due to lack of senior staff to support the squadron. The squadron may be re-opened at some point in the future but not anytime soon.

The 3 closest squadrons are Denton, Mckinney, and Plano and the contact information for each can be found at www.gocivilairpatrol.com. This page will remain active to keep the history and updates together in one place. Thank You.

This afternoon the Texas Wing Civil Air Patrol Color Guard(Frisco Cadet Squadron) presented the colors for the Equest Galla at the South Fork Ranch Located in Wylie TX. The national Anthem was sung by a local student from DISD and was the best rendition we have heard in a long time as it was sung very well in its original form.

Recently the Texas Wing Color Guard(Frisco Cadet Squadron) visited the Johnson Space Center in Houston while at the Texas Wing Conference along with all of the cadets in attendance of the conference. They had the pleasure of being guided through historical mission control by Gene Kranz. After his tour and lesson they paused for a photo with him. They then toured the interactive information center and posed for a few photos as well.

This weekend several squadrons gathered together at the YMCA facility in Anna TX for Cadet Flight Fest. This is the photo set from the GTM 3 class taught by Capt Edwards of Frisco Cadet Squadron TX-389, C/2Lt Langley and Capt Cryer of Nighthawk CS TX-413. Several of our cadets were on the GTM 3 training and enjoyed it quite a bit coming away with GTM 3 and possibly UDF qualifications. They also had a lot of fun camping on site and having a bon fire Saturday night after completing an ELT search for the smores materials. A big thank you to Lt Col Whisennand x 2 for being the IC and mission staff for this event so we could train everyone who wanted to attend. Also thank you to 2Lt Lorenz and 1Lt Cowley for setting up and running communications for us over the weekend. Thank you to Mckinney CS for hosting this event and getting all the planning knocked out ahead of time.

This evening C/Tompkins taught a leadership and unifrom class followed by Capt Edwards teaching Emergency Services hot and cold weather injury prevention and treatment using the NESA curriculum. Then Capt Maso from the Colorado Wing-Civil Air Patrol awarded cadets Massey and Railey certificates for completion of private pilot ground school and endorsed them to take their knowledge test for their private pilots license. They have been working hard for 6 months in free time with Capt Maso to train to be private pilots with instruction from Capt Maso.
