Today at approximately 12:00 PM (noon), Hutchinson County will conduct its routine, scheduled test of the countywide outdoor warning siren system. No action is required—this is only a test.
Please remember: outdoor warning sirens are intended to alert people who are outside and away from shelter or other warning systems. They are not designed to be heard indoors in every home or business.
For reliable indoor alerts, please use additional resources such as weather alert radios and/or the Everbridge Mass Notification system (free to subscribe at www.borgertx.gov/alerts).
Thank you for your attention as we continue working to keep our community safe and prepared.

Please share and be kind!

🚪 ✅ Door-to-Door Sales Permit

Nikita is a college student from Estonia, Europe doing his summer internship with Southwestern Advantage Educational Company out of Nashville, TN. He will be in the Fritch area for the next week going door to door selling educational materials that provide ACT prep, college credit classes, and study guides for all ages K-12 through McGraw Hill and Princeton Review.

If he knocks on your door, just know he has an accent!
He is very friendly and has been to our office and introduced himself to us, as well as other departments in the area. If you are not interested, he will give you a smile and move on to the next family.

He has been approved for a door-to-door permit from the City of Fritch.

Police and Fire experience a substantially high call volume on Independence Day. Please be responsible and follow these regulations. We have had rain recently, but remember, even grass that appears green will burn due to dead undergrowth.

Have a safe and responsible Independence Day!

We have some pretty amazing men and women who volunteer and we are so grateful! Thank you!!

As we recognize International Firefighters’ Day on May 4, we honor the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of firefighters everywhere.

Today, we remember those who gave their lives in service to others and those who have gone before us. Their bravery and commitment built the foundation of the fire service and continue to inspire those who follow in their footsteps. One of our very own—Chief Zeb Smith.

We are especially grateful for the strength and diversity of the firefighting community that serves our region. Across Carson County, Moore County, Potter County, and Hutchinson County, departments work together through partnership, mutual aid, and shared commitment to protecting our communities. We are thankful for every firefighter, volunteer, and department that answers the call and stands beside one another when it matters most.

We also want to recognize the individuals who are sometimes overlooked in the conversation—our county maintainer personnel and aviation. The work they do in supporting fire response, maintaining access, creating fire lines, and standing alongside our departments is invaluable. They are firefighters too, and their dedication and sacrifice deserve to be recognized and appreciated.

Honor the past.
Thank the present.
Inspire the future.

Our gratitude for the sacrifices made and the partnerships built extends far beyond today—it is carried with us every day.
