🚨 FREE Child ID Cards Available! 🚨

The Fairfax County Sheriff's Office offers FREE Child ID Cards to help keep children safe in case of an emergency.

Children with disabilities may not be able to communicate their identity or personal details in high-stress or unfamiliar situations. This card can be used if a child gets lost; first responders can use the ID card to immediately identify them, verify medical or behavioral needs, and contact parents. Additionally, fingerprinting adds a layer of verification if the child is found but unable to communicate.

Especially helpful for children in the disability community, these cards can:
✅ Help first responders quickly identify nonverbal or medically complex children.
✅ Include critical information like your child’s photo, fingerprints, height, and weight.
✅ Support school staff and public safety teams with accurate, on-the-spot details.

💡 A simple card can make a life-saving difference.

Happy Father's Day!

Today, we celebrate the fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, and father figures who show up every day with strength, patience, and love.

Whether you're helping with daily routines, advocating for services, attending appointments, offering encouragement, or simply being there when you're needed most, your care makes a lasting difference.

At Moms In Motion, we are honored to support families across Virginia, and we recognize the important role fathers and father figures play in helping their loved ones thrive.

Thank you for the guidance, dedication, and support you provide every day.

From all of us at Moms In Motion, we wish you a Happy Father's Day filled with appreciation, joy, and time spent with those you love.

Today we honor Juneteenth, marking the day in 1865 when the last enslaved African Americans were informed of their freedom. We celebrate the resilience, culture, and profound contributions of Black Americans to our nation and our company.

As part of our commitment to this important holiday, our offices will be closed today to reflect, celebrate, and spend time with family and community.

Friendly reminder! If you require assistance with enrollment, please do not hesitate to schedule a call with FA Support. We will gladly reach out to you on the day of the call to assist both EORs and PCGs. https://tinyurl.com/fasupportcal

Wishing everyone a meaningful and joyful Juneteenth! 🖤❤️💚

We are honored to share Hannah’s story in her family’s own words—a story of resilience, independence, advocacy, and the power of community support. 💙

"For Hannah Ellenbecker, running isn't just about crossing a finish line—it is about freedom, empowerment, and breaking barriers. As an individual with a disability, Hannah has discovered a profound passion for fitness. She can frequently be found training for and excelling in regional 5K and 10K races, showcasing her determination and love for the sport. Her achievements are made possible through her own resilience and the vital support of community programs like Moms in Motion.

Moms in Motion is an organization dedicated to serving individuals with disabilities and their families by providing essential resources and information. Their core mission revolves around helping people navigate Medicaid waivers so they can access services, hire caregivers, and get the support they need directly in their communities. By providing this foundational support, they give individuals with disabilities the skills and confidence to live independently and successfully.

This kind of comprehensive support is exactly what allows athletes like Hannah to pursue their goals. Because her daily living and support needs are met, Hannah has the time, energy, and resources to focus on what she loves: lacing up her running shoes and hitting the pavement. Knowing that she has a solid foundation of care and independence gives her the confidence to train vigorously and excel in her regional races.

The Ellenbecker family is profoundly grateful to Moms in Motion for their unwavering support and advocacy. Beyond just helping with waiver facilitation, Moms in Motion is actively dedicated to advocating for civil rights, disability rights, and inclusivity. They actively stand up and speak out about the issues that directly impact people with disabilities, representing the voices of families who need it most.

Knowing there is an organization that advocates for people with disabilities and speaks on their behalf brings immense peace of mind to the Ellenbecker family.

Through the ongoing efforts of Moms in Motion, individuals like Hannah are not confined by their disabilities but are empowered to reach their highest potential.

Whether she is inspiring others at a local 5K or pushing her limits in a 10K, Hannah's running journey is a beautiful testament to what is possible when community support meets personal determination."

Join us Thursday, June 25, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM for Voices in Motion featuring The Fox Moon Farm Project.

Hear from Cindy Freishtat, Equine Specialist, Life Skills Counselor, Co-Founder and Director, and Kiele Marston, Equine Specialist and Director of the Equestrian Program, as they share how horses, nature, and farm-based experiences help individuals build confidence, develop life skills, and support emotional well-being.

The Fox Moon Farm Project is a nonprofit dedicated to harnessing the healing power of nature and animals to nurture growth, learning, and healing for children, adults, and individuals with complex trauma. Through their Healing with Horses program, participants develop skills such as emotional regulation, self-confidence, anger management, and motor development in a supportive farm environment.
