The Warren County Virginia Sheriff's Office has seen an increase in reports of scam callers impersonating Warren County deputies and Command Staff, notifying individuals that they have an open warrant, requesting immediate payment electronically, then asking callers to come to our office.

These scammers will urge you to stay on the line and make payment immediately in unconventional ways, like paying at a Bit Coin or other kiosks.

โข No caller ID, one that looks suspicious or tries to mimic official numbers.
