📣 We’re Hiring: Museum & Archives Manager!

We’re sad to see Hannah move on, and we’ll miss having her as part of the WHS team. ❤️ Her departure, though, creates an exciting opportunity for someone new to join us!

We’re looking for someone who loves history, collections, exhibits, and connecting our community with the stories we preserve.

📍Phillips' Bathing Beach, c. 1920s

"When its August in the city and I'm longing to be free,
My electric fan keeps humming, and seems to talk to me
As if I'd need reminding of where I'd rather be.
My thoughts are in Virginia, and I'm straining at the leach.
For I want to go in swimming down at Phillips' Bathing Beach..."
