Just donated: The Great Courses Meteorology: An Introduction to the Wonders of the Weather, 4-DVD set and Course Guidebook. Robert Fovell of UCLA is the professor.

If you want to learn something rather than just entertaining yourself while you're sitting and relaxing, check out an educational DVD set!

Do you love the Middle Ages? Would you like to learn more about them?
St Columba's Library can help you scratch that itch!

We now have three Great Courses DVD and Course Guidebook sets:
The Early Middle Ages, the High Middle Ages, and the Late Middle Ages!
The professor is Philip Daileader of The College of William and Mary.

The DVD's are lavishly illustrated, and the coursebooks are like textbooks in outline, with timeline, glossary, and bibliography.

Check out one or more if you want to learn about one of the high points of the flowering of Christian civilization!
