Today, we remember the men and women who gave their lives serving our country.

Their sacrifice should never be forgotten, and neither will the families who still carry that loss.

From all of us at the Fruita Police Department, we are grateful for their sacrifice.

It is always hard to see the good ones go, and Cpl. Gianinetti was one of the good ones.

After nearly 11 years with the Fruita Police Department, Cpl. Gianinetti has served this community, this department, and his fellow officers with dedication and professionalism. During his time with FPD, he worked as a Field Training Officer and served as our driving instructor.

As an FTO, Cpl. Gianinetti helped train nearly every officer currently working patrol at FPD. His impact on this department will continue through the officers he mentored, taught, and helped shape along the way.

Cpl. Gianinetti will be missed, and we are grateful for the years he gave to Fruita and to the Fruita Police Department.

Thank you, Cpl. Gianinetti. We wish you all the best in your next chapter.

Yesterday, Community Hospital hosted the annual Phoenix Awards, recognizing first responders who helped save the life of a cardiac arrest patient who was successfully resuscitated and able to return home.

The Fruita Police Department is proud of Officer Mullen and Officer Hudson, who were recognized for their role in one of these calls.

The Fruita Police Department was proud to stand alongside so many dedicated EMS, fire, law enforcement, and medical partners from across Mesa County.

These situations are never handled by one person or one agency. They take teamwork, quick action, and people committed to serving others when it matters most.

Thank you to Community Hospital for hosting this event and for recognizing the work being done throughout our valley.
