On Friday afternoon, we received word that Jerry Bowser, the suspect in a murder that happened the day before in Little Rock, might be in Texarkana. A short time later, officers located his vehicle at a local hotel and confirmed he had checked in the night before.
As our Special Investigations Unit and Texas DPS investigators set up outside his room, Bowser suddenly stepped out and was immediately confronted. He initially refused to comply with officers' commands but was quickly taken into custody after being struck by two rounds from a JPX pepper gun. At the time of his arrest, Bowser had a pistol tucked in his waistband - but thankfully, he never had the opportunity to reach for it.
He was booked into the Bi-State Jail on a capital murder warrant from Little Rock and will soon be extradited.
