Due to recent information received regarding city requirements, the volunteer fence-building project and scheduled barbecue for this Saturday have been postponed until further notice.

We appreciate all those who stepped forward to volunteer their time and efforts. Your willingness to serve is recognized and valued.

Please note: Our regularly scheduled monthly VFW Post 2738 meeting will still take place this Saturday, June 21st at 9:00am for social hour and the meeting starts at 9:30am. All members and individuals interested in joining are encouraged to attend.

📣 Meeting Update – VFW Post 2738 Payette Valley

Join us this Saturday, June 21st for our regular monthly meeting!

☕ Social Hour: 9:00 AM
📋 Meeting Begins: 9:30 AM

We’ll have a special presentation from a Fruitland High School student about a program that supports veterans, students, and the local community. A vote by members will follow.

🔨 After the meeting, we’ll be installing fencing around the parking lot—volunteers welcome! Lunch will be provided.

🇺🇸 PLEASE NOTE:
The Post Hall is open to the public during the below times and we invite anyone from the community to join us for coffee, catch up with fellow vets, or just enjoy some good company.

• Wednesdays 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
• Saturdays from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM *depending on attendance

We’re looking for a some helping hands to help install a new fence around our parking lot at VFW Post 2738 – Payette Valley, in Downtown Fruitland.

We’ll have food and drinks for all volunteers—including mouthwatering Van Lith Ranch burgers hot off the grill! 🍔🔥

Today the 81st anniversary of D-Day, Operation Overlord, we honor and remember the bravery and sacrifice of the men who changed the turned the course of WWII, and made history.
We will never forget.

We are opened to the community and would love for you to stop by today from 1pm-3pm to meet with Veterans, learn about the VFW and enjoy some refreshments! 🇺🇸

We’re opening our doors to the community! Starting tomorrow (Thursday), you’re invited to stop by from 1 PM - 3 PM to meet local Veterans, learn more about the VFW, and explore our new facility.

Next week, we’ll be open Tuesday through Thursday from 1 PM - 3 PM, so come by, check out our incredible military memorabilia, and see our new space which will be available for event rentals to the public! 🇺🇸

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Past Post Commander, and the former Mayor of Midvale Jack Toothman. He was an advocate for all veterans. His service will be 12 April at 1:00 pm in Cambridge at the exhibit hall.
