Wow! Elementary summer readers have logged 16,710 minutes of reading since May 11! Way to go, kids! We have 9 that have already reached their goal. One more week to log minutes & earn prizes!

Next Tuesday is our summer reading pool party! This is for preschool and elementary summer reading kids! All pool rules apply, please read through before attending. Children under the age of 6 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. The pool party is from 10-12 and a light lunch will follow in the park! We have a special surprise at lunch this year! We can wait to see you all next Tuesday !

Journal It! for teens is Monday, July 13 from 1-3 pm. This is for teens ages 12-18. Participants will learn about different types of journals and creative ways to use them to help stay organized, relieve stress and as a creative outlet to document their life. They will decorate their journals and work on their first spreads. Registration is required by Monday, July 6. When registering, specify if you want a journal with multicolored pages or just white. All supplies are provided & this program was made possible thanks to the Youth Grants for Excellence/Nebraska Library Commission.

New Junior series! Team Awkward is a middle grade book series following four friends as they navigate challenges of middle school from first days and crushes to extracurricular activities like cheerleading. It’s known for its relatable humor and is comparable to The Babysitter’s Club and Dork Diaries.

This is located in the Junior section under Realistic.
