Beginning Monday, Aug. 31, at midnight, the City of Fulshear will activate Stage 1 voluntary water conservation measures as a proactive step to reduce water demand and help prevent the need for more restrictive measures.

Residents and businesses are encouraged to do their part by conserving water and following the voluntary watering schedule.

📢 Fulshear residents: Get to know our proposed FY2027 budget and property tax rate.

The City of Fulshear is reviewing the FY2027 budget, and its proposed property tax rate of $0.193100 per $100 of taxable value.

The proposed budget helps fund everyday City services, public safety, infrastructure, parks, and capital projects, including the 2025 voter-approved bond program for Primrose Park Phase 3 as well as future parkland.

So, what could that mean for homeowners? Using the City’s median homestead example, the estimated annual City property tax bill would increase from $811.20 to $951.01 — about $139.81 more per year, or $11.65 per month. Keep in mind, that your actual tax bill will depend on your property’s taxable value and any exemptions you qualify for.

The City will be holding a public hearing:
- Tuesday, Sept. 1, at 6 P.M.
- Fulshear Municipal Complex, 6611 W. Cross Creek Bend Lane

Reminder: Katy-Fulshear Road at FM 1093 will be closed starting Monday, August 31 through September 28.

Recommended alternate route: Syms Street → 5th Street

The temporary closure is necessary for the installation of a new waterline and sewer force main as part of the Katy-Fulshear Lift Station Expansion Project.

We know road closures can cause inconveniences and we appreciate your patience as this important work gets underway.

Below is our recommended alternate route while Katy-Fulshear Road at FM 1093 is closed through September 28.

Recommended Route: Syms Street → 5th Street

The temporary closure is necessary for the installation of a new waterline and sewer force main as part of the Katy-Fulshear Lift Station Expansion Project.

We’re asking all Fulshear water customers to help us conserve water tomorrow morning.

Repairs are underway at the Fulshear Bend Water Plant, but a necessary repair part has been delayed until Thursday afternoon. While the plant remains under repair, the City will have reduced water production capacity.

Because our water system serves the community as one interconnected system, reducing demand across the City will help maintain water service while repairs are completed.

Please help us by limiting nonessential water use Thursday morning, including irrigation and other high-volume water use. We’ve also reached out directly to HOAs and other high-water users to request their help reducing demand.

Despite the name, flushable wipes don't dissolve like toilet paper. They can stay intact as they travel through the wastewater system, contributing to clogs and sewer backups - like the one pictured here.

The rule is simple:

- Toilet paper
Everything else belongs in the trash. Help us keep Fulshear flowing.
