Dear friends,
It is with heavy heart that I have decided to withdraw from the run-off election for the Fulshear City Council At-Large position.
It is hard to put into words how much I appreciate the support and encouragement I received from so many of you; but I believe this is the right thing to do for our city so it can move forward.
I shall make it my business to get more involved with the workings of our city in whatever capacity I can - for me, this isn’t the end - but instead, it is the beginning. I have learned so much and am equally as passionate now as the day I decided to run for office. There is much work to be done and I am prepared to serve in whatever capacity I can.
I encourage each and every one of you to take a few minutes and understand what goes on in our city. We are at a pivotal time in our history and as time goes by, there will be many decision to be made - BY US! Please be a voice. At this last election only a little over 500 voters used their vote from a potential of over 10,000 Fulshear residents.
Between our newly elected mayor and council members, seven (7) out of eight (8) seats are now seated by residents of Cross Creek Ranch. Our city council decides the how and what our city should look like, from roads, parks, city services, our police department and our charming downtown………..be also a voice for District 1 - this is our city too.
I Congratulate Mr. Kelly and pray that he and our city council will be a strong voice for each and every citizen - that they will look at the big picture, the long term consequences of their decisions and bring some open, honest, respectful communication to our residents.
Again, Congratulations Mr. Kelly!
