With rain in the forecast, we want to review our rainy-day dismissal procedures to ensure a smooth and safe process for everyone.
Due to the unpredictable nature of our weather, we make the decision to implement rainy-day dismissal procedures approximately 20 minutes before dismissal time. Lightning and moderate to heavy rain automatically trigger a rainy-day dismissal.
Here’s what you need to know:
Rainy-Day Dismissal: In the event of lightning or moderate to heavy rain, all walkers will become car riders. Car riders and bus riders will be dismissed as usual.
Notification: If a rainy-day dismissal is called, we will send through ParentSquare 20 minutes before dismissal.
Transportation Changes: If you prefer that your student not walk in light rain, please call the front office to update their transportation arrangements for the day.
Car Line Delays: Wet weather often leads to longer car lines, so we appreciate your patience as we work to load our Raptors safely.
