⚙️ Great times with great people!

The Bravo River Rotary Club gathered for its monthly social at Fusion Wok, enjoying an evening filled with good food, great conversations, laughter, and fellowship.

It’s always wonderful to bring together people who share a passion for strengthening the community and making a positive difference.

If you’re a parent with a child at Huggins Elementary, Randle Elementary, or Fletcher Morgan Jr. Elementary here in Fulshear — and you’re looking for a program that helps kids build character, confidence, and capability (while also burning off plenty of energy), check out your local Scouting America unit.

Fulshear’s Pack 941 is hosting its Kickoff Party this Thursday (Aug. 20) in the Bois D’Arc area. It’s fun, it’s outdoors, and yes, your child will come home talking about something other than video games.

Scouts explore the great outdoors and learn real world skills like outdoor safety, discovering wildlife, protecting nature, and building confidence through hands on adventures. Think of it as the antidote to “I’m bored!”

We had the pleasure of welcoming Tyler Nelson, Principal at Cornerstone Government Affairs, as our guest speaker at Brazos River Rotary for an incredibly engaging and insightful discussion.

Tyler gave us an insightful look into how policymaking works at the local, state, and federal levels, while reminding us that everyday citizens have an important role to play. Staying informed, engaging in meaningful conversations, and communicating with our elected officials can all help shape better decisions for our communities.

He also brought the conversation to life by discussing several current and upcoming priorities shaping regional and national debates, giving our members a better understanding of how policy decisions ultimately impact the communities we serve.

⚙️ Today, we had the utmost honor of welcoming our District Governor, Camille Hamilton, along with fellow servant leaders from various Rotary clubs across our district, to the Brazos River Rotary Club!

We had a meaningful conversation about our 2026–2027 priorities, what’s ahead for Rotary, and how we can continue creating a "Lasting Impact" in the communities we serve. Camille and our visiting Rotary leaders also took time to hear directly from our members—gathering feedback, exchanging ideas, and sharing perspectives on how we can strengthen our clubs and expand the impact of Rotary.

We’re grateful for Camille’s leadership and for all the servant leaders who joined us this morning. It was a wonderful reminder that while we may represent different clubs and communities, we are united by the same purpose: serving others and creating lasting, meaningful change.
