It is with profound sorrow that the Cody Volunteer Fire Department announces the passing of Life member and Past Commissioner Les Johnson.
Les Dedicated more than 50 years of service to the Cody Volunteer Fire Department and was instrumental in helping to shape the fleet of emergency vehicle that have served the Cody Fire District over the years. Les also dedicated many years serving as a commissioner to the district helping to ensure the members had the equipment and operational guidelines for the members of the department to carry out their duties in protecting the members of the community. The best thing an old fire fighter can do is to teach young fire fighters how to become an old fire fighter. Les endeavored to do just that in his time of service to the Cody Volunteer Fire Department.
