This is a community service page and we encourage you to join us. We are a team of 3 dedicated to keeping everyone informed about weather, news and all the natural wonders along the Texas Gulf Coast. We operate a personal weather station and in addition to providing information about community events, weather and fishing, we provide daily history tidbits as well.

In case you missed it in my last post, part of our area including San Antonio now in “marginal” severe storm risk Saturday

T-storms are possible later Saturday ahead of system’s cold front. Can’t rule out hail. Most would be small hail but a storm w/ quarter size can’t be ruled out

** outlooks do not guarantee you’ll see severe storms. They create awareness one is possible

Share this one! Pain Index going up! Saturday’s front could trigger headaches and joint flare-ups. Better relief returns Sunday.

For those asking where it's at::::

Bob Hall Pier in Corpus Christi is scheduled to officially reopen to the public on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at 11 a.m., featuring a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The rebuilt, more durable, and wider pier will be free to access for the first 90 days following its opening.

Mornin' folks! Here are high temps for today. Pretty much everyone in the northern third of Texas has already hit their maximum temp for the day. Temps plummet during the day as the cold front continues southward. Meanwhile, 80s in South Texas. This is why we call it Crashy the Cold Front!

Somewhere in the Coastal Bend, a cold front whispers “boo” and the entire grocery aisle turns into a demolition derby. 🥶🛒

People out here acting like the Gulf is about to ice over and penguins are filing for beachfront property.

Meanwhile, the Beach Bum just wanted one simple thing: fried bologna.

Not a five-course survival kit. Not a panic bunker. Just a crispy, sizzling, golden-edged circle of beach-side happiness popping in a pan like it’s auditioning for a cooking show. 🍳🔥

Now the shelves are empty, the wind is howling, and somewhere a pelican is laughing because even the birds know you don’t hoard bologna for a 20-degree “arctic blast.”

Let them panic. I'll be out there in a hoodie and flip-flops, casting into the surf, dreaming of that perfect bologna sear and plotting my next grocery run like a true coastal outlaw. 🌊🎣🥪
