On June 3, 2026 at 11:21 am Fulton Police responded to the area of 12th and Amherst for a report of a female outdoors brandishing a firearm in a threatening manner, causing others in the area to be fearful for their safety. Upon arrival it was determined the subject entered into a residence with the firearm. After officers arrived in the area they were able to have the female to exit the residence and was taken into custody.

On 05/01/2026 at 1:02 pm Fulton Police responded to the 300 block of Mokane Road for a vehicle that struck a pedestrian. First Responders began giving aid to the victim who was transported by ambulance to a Columbia hospital. The pedestrian succumbed to their injuries. The driver of the vehicle was not injured. The Missouri State Highway patrol will be assisting with the investigation. There will not be any other information released at this time.

Keep watch for possible storms today. Some could be severe.

Strong to severe storms are expected to develop along a cold front this afternoon with the best chances of storms along and east of U.S. 65. All modes of severe weather will be possible, including the potential for very large hail and a few large tornadoes.
