Auto Extrication Training Scheduled Along Highway 94

Fulton County Fire & Rescue will be conducting an Auto Extrication Training Class on Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM at the Old Cayce Cafe lot on Highway 94 in Cayce.

Motorists traveling through the area may see emergency vehicles, firefighters working around wrecked vehicles, and training activity throughout the day. There is no emergency incident. This is only a training exercise.

The public is asked to use extreme caution while traveling near the training site on Highway 94 due to increased emergency vehicle traffic and personnel operating near the roadway. Please slow down, stay alert, and help provide a safe environment for all participants.

Fulton County Fire & Rescue appreciates the continued support of the community as we work to enhance training and emergency response capabilities for the citizens of Fulton County.

Breezy south winds, low relative humidity values, and dry vegetation will lead to an elevated risk for wildfires this afternoon, mainly between noon and 7 PM. Outdoor burning and activities that involve open sparks or flames are discouraged.

04/11/2026

Elevated Fire Risk on Sunday! Please refrain from outdoor burning.

NWS Paducah ~ Sunday looks completely dry. It will be breezy and quite warm, with near record highs possible. Elevated fire weather conditions are expected, particularly across western Kentucky, due to the combination of strong winds, dry fuels, and low relative humidity (25-30%). It continues to look like a somewhat unsettled week ahead, with rain chances returning as early as Sunday night into Monday. It will also be quite warm with highs in the low to mid 80s most days this coming week.

Fulton County Fire & Rescue Announces Expansion with Two New Substations

FULTON COUNTY, KY — Fulton County Fire & Rescue, in conjunction with the Fulton County Fiscal Court, is proud to announce plans for the addition of two new fire substations to better serve the community.

The proposed substations will be located on Brooks Chapel Road and Crutchfield Road. These new facilities are part of an ongoing effort to enhance emergency response capabilities and improve fire protection coverage throughout Fulton County.

Once completed, the additional stations will significantly reduce response times and help ensure that residents in the Crutchfield community, as well as those living outside the city limits of Fulton, are within a five-mile radius of a fire station.

This expansion has been made possible through funding provided by the Kentucky General Assembly for the Cayce station project, along with the reallocation of insurance proceeds and FEMA funds associated with the December 10, 2021 tornado recovery efforts. Fulton County Fire & Rescue would also like to recognize and sincerely thank Stella Jones for their generous donation of property on Crutchfield Road, which has been instrumental in making this expansion possible.

Fulton County Fire & Rescue and the Fulton County Fiscal Court remain committed to strengthening public safety infrastructure and providing the highest level of service to the citizens of Fulton County.
