Hi everybody,

In the April 5th election I’m running for one of the two spots to be filled on the Fulton Public School Board.

The short story of why I want to be a board member is that I believe that I will be able to work with other board members and district administrators to help set up the district for long term success, with as little burden as possible to the local taxpayers. I do recognize the difficulty this task presents, but I am passionate enough about it that I am willing to work hard to achieve a great future for all parties with a vested interest in Fulton Public Schools. This includes FPS employees, FPS students, FPS parents, and all members of the community. I am willing to have open minded discussions with all of them and work to make any changes desired that create a better FPS for everyone. I believe great schools create great communities, and that an actively involved community creates great schools.

I appreciate the support that I have received so far and look forward to contributing to the future success of Fulton Public Schools.

Well, I couldn’t make it happen this time around.
I truly appreciate all the support I’ve received throughout this process. Every like, share, and comment on the page was helpful and encouraging. All the words of support offered up in person and all of the offers for helping me along in the process were extremely humbling.
I knew I was fighting an uphill battle against 2 established and well qualified candidates, and while I’m disappointed in the outcome, I’m not ready to give up on this goal quite yet. I still believe that I have value to be added to the school board.
I’ll regroup, and figure out what the future holds for me, but I may be asking for your support again in the future.
Congratulations to Jackie and Leah on earning re-election. I will continue to attend board meetings, stay informed, and offer my support.
