22nd Sundae on the Farm Set for Sunday, September 14 at Bellinger’s Orchard

Fultonville, NY – Montgomery County Farm Bureau invites the community to celebrate local agriculture at the 22nd Annual Sundae on the Farm on Sunday, September 14, 2025, hosted by Bellinger’s Orchard, 685 Argersinger Road, Fultonville.

Festivities kick off with the popular Dairy Dash 5K at 11:00 AM, followed by the main event from 12:00–4:00 PM. Admission is free and open to all ages.

Guests will enjoy a fun-filled afternoon with:

· Guided farm tours & hayrides

· Educational booths & animal encounters

· Kids’ activities and games

· Farmer Olympics & contests

· Local vendors, food, and farm products

· And of course—a free ice cream sundae!

Bellinger’s Orchard, a family-run farm known for its pick-your-own apples, cider, and donuts, provides the perfect backdrop for this celebration of farming and community.

2025 Photography Contest

The Montgomery County Water Quality Coordinating Committee announces our Waterways of Montgomery County photo contest. All streams, ponds and wetlands must be wholly or partially located within Montgomery County. All photos must be taken in Montgomery County. All entries must have been taken in 2025 and include the following information: photographer, location taken, date taken, water body name, photographers address, phone, and email. All entries are due by August 10. One entry per person. Photos can be emailed to: [email protected] Digital photos must be maximum 3 MB. The photos will be judged by members of the water quality committee on topic, photographic technique, and artistry. The top 10 photos, as chosen by the committee, will.be printed and displayed at the 2025 Fonda Fair. The top 3 photos will receive a gift prize from the committee. If you have any questions or need more information, please contact the committee Chairman Patrick Clear at 518-853-3098. Submitted photos may be used in the committee educational displays and on the committee page.

We along with NYS Canal Corporation are excited to announce that 45 non-profit organizations and municipalities will receive 2025 NYS Canal System Tourism Infrastructure and Event Grants totaling $255,000. The grants will support eleven tourism infrastructure and amenity improvements and 36 events along canal waterways and the Canalway Trail.

Events ranging from large festivals to community celebrations and tours promise to contribute to a lively calendar of bicentennial commemorations. Infrastructure and amenity grants will also fund public park improvements, kayak rental kiosks, educational exhibits, and signage that will enhance the visitor experience for years to come.
